How can we fans turn this team around? I say we have more power than we think to restore our dynasty. Obviously star players and billions of dollars, new coaches and odd player incentives implemented by ownership is NOT the answer. We must find our own way to change the direction of our team. I would go so far as to say, return all your season tickets, stop buying redskins gear and stop asking our players for autographs until they decide to play the game as we expect them to.
Once upon a time, our Redskins felt like a team, played like a team and loved it's fans like we were actually on the field playing on the team. For a fan who has been loyal for the past 20 years, I am simply getting tired of saying, "maybe next year." The time to make a change to our team is now. The 12th men and women raised the team to its once glorious heights before, and so can the 12th man and woman reclaim their team for their city once again. The capital of the most powerful country on earth cannot be represented by a chronically sorry team.
Long gone are the years of dominance by our team in the league and pride in our "braves". Ever since ownership changed hands, for whom blame falls squarely on Jack Cooke Sr.'s shoulders for not automatically willing the team to his son, we have not seen any glimmers of our past glory.

Nobody on our team today cares about winning they only care about the paychecks that hit their accounts on Monday morning. How can players honestly celebrate with the ferver they do on one good play they make when we are down 13 to 0? Your comments and thoughts are welcome.

It is time for a chnage in Washington unless Daniel Snyder really wants the 1st pick in the draft in 2010. We as fans need to stand up and let our voices be heard and let Daniel Snyder , Coach Zorn and the team that enough is enough!
ReplyDeleteThe Redskins have no direction and have not since the ownership of the franchise changed. It started there, but can be attributed to the front office not having good football knowledge and player evaluation. Charley Casserly, Bobby Betheard, these guys knew football talent, until people like that have a say in who's a redskins the current trend will continue!
ReplyDeleteOwnership is definitley to blame when it comes to our the crappy quarterbacks we have had....first Brunnell and now Campbell who has no idea what's going on and doesn't see the field. With all the money we spend on defensive players couldn't we have gotten a better quarterback? Brunnell was too old and Campbell is young and inexperienced.
ReplyDeleteCampbell doesn't strike me as a leader and football happens to be a team sport...hmmmmmm doesn't look good going forward but i won't give up hope!
We can be heard. The power of the internet has done spectacular things. We can have our voices heard directly to the players, coaches and owners. With enough shared thoughts and comments we will let them know that we want our team back.
ReplyDeleteAs a season ticket holder, I don't think I can turn in my tickets. However, one way to get their attention is definitely go to the game but don't go to your seat until after 10 minutes after the game starts. Then march in screaming and cheering. Then Danny, Vinny, and the Team will know who is in charge and who helps pays their salaries. This can be organized grass roots, and if we get 60% participation that would be a success.
ReplyDeleteStop buying beer, food, and clothing in the stadium.
Hit Danny where it is going to hurt...product sales.
I want my Team back.
Dan Synder sucks c0ck for coke.
ReplyDeleteIt's sad that we have become the laughing stock of the NFL. To lose to a team that has not won a game since December 2007 is unacceptable. The offense is so predictable that everyone knew what was coming when Zorn called that strech play. It's hard to stomach the loss, and even at 1-2 on the year, it's hard to not say the season is already lost. The week before against the rams- 5 drives in the red zone and the best we can do is 3 field goals. Changes need to be made and quick. It's hard to place all the blame on Zorn- all he can do is call the play, it's up to the players to execute and that's not happening. If Snyder were not so consumed by selling #92 jersey's, maybe we would find a real gm and then maybe we would draft a team instead of what we do now. It's sad to see a once great franchise in such ruin. Thank you Dan Snyder, thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteThe team started going down hill when they moved to the new stadium. RFK was magic. The new owner has destroyed the Redskins legacy. I've been a fan since 1982 and I spent 20 years in the DC area....time to move on to another team. Thanks Daniel Snyder
ReplyDeleteThis is what changing head coaches and defensive coordinators every other year do to a team. The players are tired and the fans too. No continuity with this team other than loosing every year. Not even the great Joe Gibbs could turn it around...RIP Redskins. This will NOT be an 8-8 season. No way after the last 2 games.

ReplyDeleteI'd still like to think that some of the players can see past their Monday paydays and try to get into the playoffs. But I suppose we will have to wait, watch, and judge. We now have our blog to express whatever we think about our team's progress. I will be posting new perspectives and thoughts at least once a week. Check back regularly for fresh perspectives and a sense of homogenity with Redskins fans across the country. Stay active, stay heard. Be silent and lose momentum.
